Build a DIY Beadboard Twin Bed
This post is sponsored by The Home Depot
Eeeeek! I’m so excited to be teaming up with my friends at The Home Depot again to bring you another fun build! Do you remember when I built the Giant Connect Four Game for their Lumber Challenge? Well, for this project, the only rules were to find a way to incorporate their tongue-and-groove patterned boards. It’s a material in their lumber section that has the strength of a 1x board, but clicks together seamlessly to create the look of beadboard. Awesome, right?
So fast forward to my workshop…do you guys remember when I spilled this sneak peak a few weeks ago? See the beadboard and 4×4 posts?
After making some sawdust, those materials started to take shape into a twin-sized bed with beadboard detail.
Thrown in a bit of time sanding and a coat of fresh white paint, and this build turned into a classic, country or beach-style addition to any kid’s or guest room.
