Home Depot Workshop Q3 - Intro Annoucenement Image

It’s time for this year’s third Home Depot Workshop Virtual Party! If you’re new to the Home Depot Workshop Virtual Parties, you can check out the awesome posts for a customized doormat, wreath, and football toss! This time, in preparation for my favorite season (Fall), we’re working on a special decorative rustic wheelbarrow project! Scroll down to learn more about your local Home Depot Workshops and the project we’ll all be customizing and sharing at the Virtual Party on Monday, September 12th at 1:00pm EST!

What’s a Home Depot Workshop?

The Home Depot holds (Free!) workshops at stores across the country teaching how to use tools, fix things around your house, and even build things from scratch. Don’t believe me? Just click HERE to see which classes are coming up at your local store.

Beyond that, the basics are this: there are three types of Workshops—Do-it-Yourself (DIY), Do-it-Herself (DIH), and Kids—geared toward all ages and experience levels. The workshops are  such an amazing opportunity to network with fellow DIYers and practice your skills with the help of a pro. (i.e. practice patching drywall at Home Depot so your first try isn’t a hot mess at home.) Customers can also learn how to build custom decor projects and operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. You can always visit http://workshops.homedepot.com to learn more!

What’s The Project?

To gear up for Fall, this Home Depot DIH Workshop is showing us how to build a decorative rustic wheelbarrow! Made from a pre-made large wood crate and some stock lumber, this beautiful decoration is the perfect addition to any fall decor!

Want to build one? Just click HERE to register for your local workshop and then share your build on social media using #DIHWorkshop!!

And don’t forget to join in on our VIRTUAL PARTY on Monday, September 12th at 1:00pm EST where we’ll be revealing how each blogger customized this project! I can’t wait to see everyone’s fun ideas!

I want to do this project but my local home depot makes stuff I really don’t want to do because it is silly….(the project is a hanging witch for the front door which comprises of a square…that’s it! Then jyou just paint…..)I want this wheel barrow, this is more challenging, more people will want to come, especially if you don’t make them feel like idiots, people want to learn, not be talked-down to. Bring this project to my town and I know at least 3 people will go to this: my hubby, myself and my girlfriend on the other side of town…!
